About Us
Downstream River Gear is a small American made, veteran owned business that started as an idea many years ago after being introduced to river rafting. The last 25 years of floating and camping along the river has ingrained a passion for the outdoors. Our favorite time of the year is the start of rafting season because our group of rafters always find new and improved gear to use for the upcoming season. We always show off that one big item we brought that everyone else in the group would envy and soon add to their gear. We call this our Big Dog item! When making these new additions to our gear we look for high quality products that can stand up to a lifetime of use on the water.
Downstream River Gear was founded on the belief that we could provide that "Big Dog" item to our customers. We started our shop out of our garage, our first product being the Aluminum Raft Ladder.
